Vai trò của giáo dục trong quá trình chuyển tiếp từ trường học sang việc làm của thanh niên Việt Nam

Sự thành công trong quá trình chuyển tiếp từ trường học sang việc làm đóng vai trò quan trọng trong cuộc sống của con người vì nó đem lại sự độc lập tài chính, các mối quan hệ xã hội và lòng tự trọng. Tuy nhiên, chủ đề này chưa được quan tâm ở Việt Nam. Nghiên cứu này tìm hiểu vai trò giáo dục trong quá trình chuyển tiếp từ trường học sang việc làm của thanh niên Việt Nam từ 15 đến 29 tuổi dựa trên dữ liệu của Tổ chức Lao động Thế giới (ILO, 2015). Nghiên cứu sử dụng biểu đồ Kaplan-Meier và mô hình sinh tồn (Survival Model) với hàm phân phối mũ để kiểm tra mối quan hệ giữa trình độ học vấn và tỷ lệ chuyển tiếp từ trường học sang công việc được trả lương đầu tiên. Sau đó, mô hình Logit đa thức được dùng để xác định các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến xác suất lựa chọn một loại công việc nhất định, dữ liệu bao gồm những người đã có công việc được trả lương đầu tiên. Kết quả cho thấy người có trình độ học vấn cao có thời gian tìm được công việc được trả lương đầu tiên ngắn hơn và xác suất tìm được việc làm có hợp đồng lao động cao hơn; lao động nữ tìm việc nhanh hơn nam; và trình độ học vấn của cha mẹ không ảnh hưởng đến quá trình chuyển tiếp.
