Abstract

Nghiên cứu này khám phá mối quan hệ giữa 04 loại tự nhận thức tiêu dùng bậc cao (Consumer Identity ‒ CID: đạo đức, hợp lý, tiết kiệm, và lãng phí) với thái độ, ý định và hành vi liên quan đến lãng phí thực phẩm, thông qua so sánh hai cách tiếp cận: tập trung vào biến số và tập trung vào cá nhân. Cách tiếp cận tập trung vào biến số cho thấy CID-đạo đức, CID-hợp lý, và CID-tiết kiệm có mối quan hệ cùng chiều với thái độ và ý định, trong khi CID-lãng phí có mối quan hệ trái chiều. CID-đạo đức, CID-hợp lý, và CID-tiết kiệm có mối quan hệ ngược chiều với hành vi, trong khi CID-lãng phí lại có mối quan hệ cùng chiều. Cách tiếp cận tập trung vào cá nhân xác định 03 nhóm tiêu dùng: Nhóm xanh, Nhóm cân bằng và Nhóm lãng phí. Nhóm xanh phản đối mạnh mẽ lãng phí thực phẩm, có ý định tiết giảm cao và hành vi lãng phí thấp nhất. Ngược lại, Nhóm lãng phí có mức độ lãng phí cao nhất, thái độ ít tích cực nhất và ý định yếu nhất. Nhóm cân bằng có mức độ thái độ, ý định và hành vi ở giữa 03 nhóm. Kết quả từ hai cách tiếp cận bổ sung cho nhau, cung cấp cái nhìn sâu hơn về mối quan hệ giữa 04 loại CID tổng quát và các kết cục về lãng phí thực phẩm
