Tóm tắt

Nghiên cứu phân tích tác động của phát triển tài chính lên tăng trưởng kinh tế bằng cách sử dụng ước lượng mô hình nhóm trung bình (MG-ARDL) và mô hình nhóm trung bình gộp (PMG-ARDL) với đa thức bậc hai tại 33 quốc gia trong giai đoạn 2004–2017. Kết quả nghiên cứu đã giải thích được các mâu thuẫn trước đây khi phân tích tác động của phát triển tài chính lên tăng trưởng kinh tế. Nhóm tác giả tìm thấy lý do tại sao phát triển tài chính có tác động tích cực (tác động tổng thể cũng như tác động của thành phần độ sâu tài chính, tính hiệu quả và tính ổn định của thị trường tài chính gây ra), tác động tiêu cực (là do tác động theo dạng hình chữ U của độ sâu tài chính và tính hiệu quả của các định chế tài chính gây ra) và không tìm thấy mối quan hệ giữa phát triển tài chính lên tăng trưởng kinh tế (là do khả năng tiếp cận tài chính trong dài hạn). Các nhà hoạch định chính sách tại mỗi quốc gia có thể dựa trên các kết quả thực nghiệm trong nghiên cứu này để đưa ra các hàm ý chính sách trong việc hoàn thiện hệ thống tài chính của quốc gia mình.
