Tóm tắt

Dẫn chứng thực tiễn gần đây cho thấy những địa phương có thể chế quản trị tốt thường gắn với tăng trưởng cao. Từ nguồn số liệu cấp tỉnh thu thập từ Tổng cục Thống kê và Phòng Thương mại và Công nghiệp Việt Nam, nghiên cứu này sử dụng mô hình phân tích dữ liệu bảng hai giai đoạn nhằm ước lượng tác động của chất lượng thể chế quản trị tới tăng trưởng kinh tế ở địa phương cấp tỉnh. Kết quả nghiên cứu thực nghiệm cho thấy chất lượng thể chế quản trị tốt gắn với tăng trưởng kinh tế cao hơn, các biến đo lường chất lượng quản trị khác nhau có sự tác động khác biệt tới tăng trưởng và các tỉnh có quy mô nhỏ hơn thì tác động của thể chế tới tăng trưởng mạnh hơn. Kết quả nghiên cứu thực nghiệm này cung cấp dẫn chứng cho việc gợi ý chính sách cải thiện chất lượng thể chế, thúc đẩy động lực tăng trưởng kinh tế địa phương.
