Nghiên cứu này xem xét tác động của tính chủ động và định hướng chất lượng đến sự sẵn sàng cho công nghiệp 4.0, từ đó tác động đến thành quả đổi mới triệt để. Mẫu gồm 133 công ty trong các lĩnh vực kinh doanh khác nhau tại TP. Hồ Chí Minh, Việt Nam được sử dụng để kiểm định mô hình đề xuất. Dữ liệu được phân tích bằng cách sử dụng phần mềm PLS-SEM. Phương pháp phân tích hai giai đoạn được áp dụng để kiểm tra độ tin cậy, tính hợp lệ, giả thuyết và mô hình nghiên cứu. Kết quả cho thấy cả tính chủ động và định hướng chất lượng đều có tác động tích cực đến sự sẵn sàng cho công nghiệp 4.0. Sự sẵn sàng cho công nghiệp 4.0 giúp cải thiện thành quả đổi mới sáng tạo triệt để; đồng thời, sự sẵn sàng cho công nghiệp 4.0 cũng đóng vai trò trung gian trong việc thúc đẩy đổi mới triệt để từ chiến lược của tổ chức. Bên cạnh đó, nghiên cứu cũng thảo luận về các hàm ý lý thuyết và thực tiễn
