Kinh tế Việt Nam qua 30 năm đổi mới, thực hiện kế hoạch 5 năm (2011–2015) và những kì vọng của năm 2016

Abstract

Using qualitative approaches, including historical review and data comparison for the period from 1985/1990 to 2015, this paper sheds some light to the achievements of Vietnam's economy during its 30 years of innovation through a number of indicators, such as growth rate, average income per capita, economic structure shifting, foreign investment attraction, import/export and balance of trade, poverty alleviation, and so forth. The paper also comments on the implementation of plan for social-economic development over the past five years (2011–2015) and the factors affecting the development of Vietnam’s economy from the supply-demand perspective. Additionally, the international context is analyzed besides expectations for the national economy in 2016 along with opportunities and challenges for the country’s joining the ASEAN economic community (AEC), based on which solutions are proposed to fulfilling the objectives for 2016 and beyond.
