Sự căng thẳng và mức độ hài lòng về lợi nhuận đầu tư: Nghiên cứu thị trường chứng khoán Việt Nam trong giai đoạn đại dịch COVID-19

Mối quan hệ giữa sự căng thẳng khi đại dịch COVID-19 bùng phát và mức độ hài lòng về lợi nhuận của nhà đầu tư cá nhân chưa được khám phá. Do đó, nghiên cứu kiểm tra mối quan hệ này, dựa trên dữ liệu điều tra 437 nhà đầu tư cá nhân đang giao dịch trên thị trường chứng khoán Việt Nam, từ tháng 2 đến tháng 7 năm 2021. Kết quả tìm thấy sự căng thẳng tác động ngược chiều với mức độ hài lòng về lợi nhuận sau khi kiểm soát các biến về tính cách và nhân khẩu học. Trong vai trò điều tiết, sự căng thẳng làm thay đổi mối quan hệ giữa tính dễ chịu, tính hướng ngoại và mức độ hài lòng về lợi nhuận. Nhà đầu tư nam ít căng thẳng và có mức độ hài lòng về lợi nhuận cao hơn so với nhà đầu tư nữ. Kết quả nghiên cứu hàm ý đến các nhà chính sách, đặc biệt đến các thị trường tài chính có số lượng nhà đầu tư cá nhân tham gia chiếm đa số, trong việc kiểm soát dịch bệnh COVID-19 hiệu quả hơn. Điều này giúp nhà đầu tư giảm bớt căng thẳng, tăng mức độ hài lòng về lợi nhuận, và qua đó, họ có thêm động lực để tiếp tục tham gia thị trường tài chính, góp phần phát triển nền kinh tế.
