Kết nối vận tải hàng hải trong vai trò giảm thiểu tác động tiêu cực  của khoảng cách địa lý đối với xuất khẩu của Việt Nam

Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện để phân tích các tác động của kết nối vận tải hàng hải song phương đối với giá trị xuất khẩu của Việt Nam đến 40 quốc gia ven biển là đối tác xuất khẩu chính trong khoảng thời gian 10 năm từ năm 2011 đến năm 2020. Nghiên cứu áp dụng phương pháp hồi quy hai bước hệ thống GMM (Two-Step System Generalized Method of Moments), và sử dụng các kiểm định cần thiết, để đảm bảo kết quả ước lượng của mô hình là vững, không chệch và phù hợp. Kết quả ước lượng của đa số các biến đều có ý nghĩa thống kê và phù hợp với các giả thuyết của mô hình trọng lực. Kết quả thực nghiệm không những khẳng định tầm quan trọng của kết nối vận tải hàng hải đối với xuất khẩu của Việt Nam, mà còn kết luận kết nối vận tải đường biển song phương hiệu quả sẽ giúp giảm tác động tiêu cực của khoảng cách địa lý.
