Đầu tư công nghệ và sự ổn định của hệ thống ngân hàng Việt Nam

Sự ổn định của hệ thống ngân hàng là chủ đề thu hút được nhiều sự quan tâm của các nhà nghiên cứu, các nhà quản lý và hoạch định chính sách trong nhiều năm qua. Tuy nhiên, câu hỏi liệu rằng xu hướng đầu tư vào công nghệ thông tin đang phát triển chóng mặt trên toàn cầu có tác động đến sự ổn định của ngành ngân hàng hay không vẫn chưa được nghiên cứu kỹ càng. Nghiên cứu này xem xét mối quan hệ giữa đầu tư công nghệ thông tin và sự ổn định của ngân hàng trên bảng dữ liệu của các ngân hàng Việt Nam từ năm 2010 đến năm 2020. Bằng phương pháp SGMM, kết quả nghiên cứu đề xuất rằng chi tiêu cho công nghệ thông tin có thể cải thiện sự ổn định của ngân hàng nói chung. Ngoài ra, kết quả cũng cho thấy đầu tư công nghệ thông tin giúp các ngân hàng lớn ổn định hơn nhưng lại khiến các ngân hàng nhỏ gặp nhiều rủi ro hơn.
